Library tours
Wednesday, the 8th of August, is dedicated to the social part of our Satellite Meeting. In the afternoon we will take a guided tour to the libraries in Turku between 12:30-16:30. The tour begins from Turku University Library, continues to Åbo Akademi University Library and ends at the Turku City Library.
You can either take the whole walk or choose 1-2 library tours:
12:30 - 13:30 Turku University Library – Main Library (meeting point Henrikinkatu 2, Turku)
13:30 - 14:00 Walk to the Åbo Akademi Library
14:00 – 15:00 Åbo Akademi Library - ASA Library (meeting point Vänrikinkatu 3 A, Turku)
15:00 – 15:30 Walk to the Turku City Library
15:30 – 16:30 Turku City Library – Main Library (meeting point Linnankatu 2, Turku)

Delegate Reception in Moomin World
Our evening party will take place at Moomin World in Naantali. Moomin World is based on the Moomin stories by Tove Jansson, a Finland-Swedish author and illustrator. Moomin World was founded from the Moomin cartoon producer Dennis Livson's initiative to create experiences for children and their families. Moomin World operates geographically in three places: in Kailo island, Väski island and in the Naantali town centre, where Moomin Shop and Moomin Car park are situated.
Seminar´s evening party will take place at Moomin World in Naantali. There is a free bus transportation from Turku to Naantali: the busses leave from the Turku Market Place promptly at 5 p.m. The meeting point at the Market Place is in front of the Orthodox Church, Yliopistonkatu 19 (map).
We will arrive at the Moomin World at 6 p.m. where Little My receives and guides us to the Moominmamma's terrace to a welcome toast. After the welcoming ceremonies we will meet the Moomins and get a grand tour to the Moomin House. It is possible to take photos of you and Moomins (not included in the conference fee). There is also time to explore the Moomin World and make purchases at the Muuminshop.
The rest of the evening we will spend in the Moominmamman's kitchen, where we can enjoy each other's company, music, banquet and beautiful views of Naantali. The banquet is served via the buffet table with fish, meat and vegetable dishes not forgetting the coffee and dessert. Two glasses of wine or beer are included in the banquet. There is also a bar open.
After the evening party the busses back to Turku leave from Moomin World at 10.15 p.m. and we will arrive at the Turku Market Square at about 11 p.m.
